R&D Case Study – Waste Equipment
Our Client became concerned over the ever-increasing use and costs of landfill sites in the commercial sector. They applied their knowledge to develop solutions for certain types of waste, with the aim of minimising the need for landfill, and resulting in reduced costs and environmental impact.
They realised that they couldn’t move away from using landfill sites altogether. Therefore, they started to research, then develop new techniques, using new bailing equipment, in-order-to condense waste substantially, resulting in more efficient use of landfill sites.
This included research on how to condense waste products using bespoke machinery, configured to condense waste product into much smaller blocks, thus improving disposal efficiencies.
Their research and development has been on the research, then utilisation of new machinery, and development of techniques to condense waste substantially.
We were delighted to be appointed to conduct our site visit, then produce comprehensive technical and financial reports to justify the R&D element of this product evolvement. Our involvement assisted them in receiving a tax refund of over £26k in September 2017.
